The Miami Heat defeated the Boston Celtics 104-98 in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Friday night. The Heat now lead the series 3-2 and are one win away from advancing to the NBA Finals.
Jimmy Butler led the Heat with 29 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Bam Adebayo added 21 points and 10 rebounds, while Kyle Lowry contributed 18 points and nine assists. Jayson Tatum led the Celtics with 22 points, while Jaylen Brown added 18 points and Al Horford added 16 points.
The Heat got off to a hot start, taking an early 10-point lead. The Celtics fought back to tie the game in the second quarter, but the Heat regained the lead before halftime. The Heat extended their lead to 10 points in the third quarter and held on to win in the fourth quarter.
