Boeing's Starliner Set to Launch for the International Space Station
First Attempt to Solve Issues Successful
After a decade of development and several delays, Boeing's Starliner spacecraft is finally set to launch from Cape Canaveral Space Force on Saturday. The launch attempt comes after Boeing successfully fixed and studied the problems that led to the scrubbing of last week's launch.
NASA to Provide Live Coverage
NASA will hold a press conference on the launch at 10:30 pm ET. The launch will also be available to watch live on NASA's website.
Second Attempt to Launch Crew Ship
This is the second attempt to launch Boeing's Starliner crew ship to the International Space Station. The first attempt was scrubbed due to a technical issue.
NASA-Boeing Partnership
NASA signed a $4.2 billion contract with Boeing in 2014 to develop Starliner. The project has run into several delays and cost overruns, but both NASA and Boeing are confident that Saturday's launch will be successful.
