Bill Musselman (1989-1991)

Bill Musselman was the Minnesota Timberwolves' first head coach. He coached the team for two seasons, compiling a record of 25-117.

Sidney Lowe (1991-1994)

Sidney Lowe took over as head coach after Musselman was fired. He coached the Timberwolves for three seasons, compiling a record of 44-176.

Flip Saunders (1995-2005)

Flip Saunders is the Timberwolves' longest-tenured head coach. He coached the team for 10 seasons, compiling a record of 423-383.

Kevin McHale (2005-2009)

Kevin McHale was hired as head coach after Saunders was fired. He coached the Timberwolves for four seasons, compiling a record of 193-269.

Kurt Rambis (2009-2011)

Kurt Rambis was hired as head coach after McHale was fired. He coached the Timberwolves for two seasons, compiling a record of 32-132.

Rick Adelman (2011-2014)

Rick Adelman was hired as head coach after Rambis was fired. He coached the Timberwolves for three seasons, compiling a record of 112-155.

Flip Saunders (2014-2015)

Flip Saunders returned as head coach after Adelman was fired. He coached the Timberwolves for one season, compiling a record of 16-66.

Sam Mitchell (2015-2016)

Sam Mitchell was hired as head coach after Saunders died. He coached the Timberwolves for one season, compiling a record of 29-53.

Tom Thibodeau (2016-2019)

Tom Thibodeau was hired as head coach after Mitchell was fired. He coached the Timberwolves for three seasons, compiling a record of 97-107.

Ryan Saunders (2019-2021)

Ryan Saunders was hired as head coach after Thibodeau was fired. He coached the Timberwolves for two seasons, compiling a record of 43-94.

Chris Finch (2021-Present)

Chris Finch was hired as head coach after Saunders was fired. He coached the Timberwolves to a 46-36 record in his first season.
